Beaumel Castle in the heart of the Plaine des Maures

Located in one of the most beautiful natural areas of the Var region, Château de Beaumél cultivates its vines organically, within the AOP Côtes de Provence. Here, in the Plaine des Maures, nature reigns supreme, offering a rare terroir, exceptional biodiversity, and a typically Provençal way of life.

An estate between sea and hills, in the heart of the Var

Our vineyard is located in an ideal position for lovers of Provençal wines and unspoiled landscapes:

  • 45 km from Saint-Tropez,
  • 47 km from Toulon and Fréjus,
  • 59 km from Bormes-les-Mimosas,
  • 80 km from Cannes,
  • 91 km from Aix-en-Provence,
  • 102 km from the Gorges du Verdon,
  • 113 km from Marseille.

A Provençal golden triangle, where wine, nature and sun meet.

An ancient and living terroir

The soil at CHATEAU de BEAUMEL is composed of sand and clay, with brown clay resulting from the degradation of sedimentary rocks 250 to 300 million years old, dating back to the Permian era. This unique terroir, inherited from the geological origins of Provence, fosters exceptional wines, marked by freshness, elegance, and minerality.

The Plaine des Maures: a haven of biodiversity

Château de Beaumel is located in the Plaine des Maures, a vast territory of 50,000 hectares, in the heart of a national nature reserve of 5,300 hectares. This unique site in Provence is distinguished by:

  • Outcrops of red sandstone,
  • Moors, forests of cork oaks and umbrella pines,
  • Temporary ponds, valuable for wildlife.

This is where Hermann's tortoise, protected birds such as Bonelli's eagle and the short-toed eagle, and rare Mediterranean flora, adapted to the dry climate and fires, still live.

A territory between traditions and the art of living

Around the estate, the villages of Gonfaron, Le Cannet-des-Maures, Vidauban, Les Mayons, and Le Luc offer a preserved Provençal setting, between local legends (such as the flying donkey of Gonfaron) and rural heritage. A few kilometers away, the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif des Maures complete this picture of an intimate, luminous, and sincere Provence.

CHATEAU de BEAUMEL is the alliance of nature, passion and respect.
An organic wine in AOP Côtes de Provence, born from a thousand-year-old terroir and shaped by the hand of man, to enhance true moments.
